Legal Malpractice In the Context of Litigation
Michael Sean Quinn
Law Firm of Michael Sean Quinn

What’s the best way for a litigator to avoid committing malpractice? The answer is not as simple as one might think as there are so many contexts in which a malpractice case could arise: legal, economic, financial and social. In this interactive session of Just Ethics, Michael Sean Quinn will present some of the more common situations in which litigators may find themselves – that require they make the right (and ethical) decision at the right time to avoid committing malpractice: being the “right” lawyer on the “right” case; asking for a retainer; dealing with discovery issues; handling expert witnesses; justifying attorney’s fees; and when to try vs. settle a case.
