South Texas Selects New Board Members


                              


The South Texas College of Law Board of Directors welcomed three new members in December. South Texas graduates Gene L. Locke ’81, S. Shawn Stephens ’88, and James D. Thompson ’86 have all agreed to serve. Locke is a partner at Andrews Kurth where he specializes in the public law area. He works with various state and local governments on public-private ventures, elections, litigation, contracts, and major construction projects. Stephens is the new president of the South Texas Alumni Association and represents that organization on the board. She heads the appellate practice group in the Houston offices of Baker Hostetler. Thompson is a partner at Vinson & Elkins and specializes in commercial litigation, focusing on energy related matters. He is currently the leader of the V&E Energy Litigation Practice Specialty group.
