Rule 737.3 Citation; Issuance; Appearance Date (2010)

TEXT

(a) Issuance. When the tenant files a written petition with a jus-tice court, the justice must immediately issue citation directed to the landlord, commanding the landlord to appear before such justice at the time and place named in the citation.
(b) Appearance Date. The appearance date on the citation must not be earlier than the sixth day nor later than the tenth day after the date of service of the citation. For purposes of this rule, the appearance date on the citation is the trial date.
